My passion for Montessori began in 1985 when I was blessed with training by an exceptional team that included Renilde Montessori, granddaughter of Maria Montessori and director of the Association Montessori Internationale. My being resonated in total harmony with Maria’s philosophies and I knew that this training would be an anchor in life. Over the years the Montessori principles formed the basis for all my teaching endeavors.

Maria Montessori was certainly a visionary ahead of her time. The educational method she believed in is just as valid today as it ever was. Educational research today is reinforcing the importance of movement and learning. More and more we are discovering holistic approaches to education. Today’s schools are recognizing the value of experiential learning, self directed learning and the learner-centred approach. These are all means to the same pedagogical principles that Maria Montessori developed.

As a parent and educator, I gained valuable experience about Montessori education in Canada and Internationally. The older of my two daughters attended Montessori schools in Canada, Rome and Geneva. I know how important it is for parents to be assured that they are choosing the best school for their children. It was such a high priority for me, that I would choose my place of residence according to the school of my choice.

Montessori Casa Dei Bambini is a life-long dream becoming reality. I have always known in my heart that I would one day share Maria’s vision. It is my goal to create a school that will offer excellence in Montessori education according to the standard of the Association Montessori Internationale. Furthermore, I intend to incorporate my interests in wellness and holistic therapies to make this the most unique schooling experience offered.
